TRDNT Challenge Submission Format

Full submission to have 10-page PDF limit

1. Title and Executive Summary

Title (1 Page): Does not count towards 10-page limit


Executive Summary: A brief description of the technology and how it will help to develop novel RNA-targeted therapies across multiple diseases.

 

*Do not include any proprietary or confidential information, as sections may be publicly shared if the Participant is selected to win a prize across any Phase of this Challenge.

2.  Written Proposal

​10-page limit, to include:

​

  • Description of how the technology will address a significant health need in the patient community, including a description of the potential impact of the solution on the development of novel RNA-targeting therapies.

​

  • Early-stage technical concept for how the technology will target RNA and provide a framework for developing novel treatments. This must include sufficient details to illustrate that the proposed technology can be successfully prototyped in Phase II.

​

  • Detailed plan to outline how the Participant will carry out development and use case demonstration of the technology. This must include a description of the participant's expertise and environment, as well as a summary of potential roadblocks to development and resolutions or expertise needed to address them. This section must also include sufficient detail to indicate that the submitting Participant has the skills and resources necessary (or can acquire them quickly) to develop the proposed technology.

3. References (1 Page) Does not count towards 10-page limit

4. Supplemental Attachments 

  • Up to four JPG or PNG files may be included.​
  • Attachments must not contain any narrative text and should solely serve to visually support the content described in the written proposal. Submissions with narrative included in the images will not be reviewed.

Participants must submit all of the above to be considered for a prize in Phase I of this Challenge.

All submissions must follow the format and instructions described below:

  • Consist of a single PDF file with page size set to 8.5” x 11” and at least 1-inch margins.

  • Use a font no smaller than 11-point Arial and line spacing no less than 1.0.

  • Include page numbers

  • Be written in English.

  • Adhere to any page length requirements as stipulated in the submission portal.

  • Not use the HHS logo or official seal or the logo of NIH in the entries and must not claim federal government endorsement.
